Description
This event included a facility tour of the PEM Technology Gateway, and was open for the public to attend.The lecture covered an overview of various metal 3D printing technologies, their various surface characteristics, the need for post processing along with the use of design for manufacture techniques to minimize post processing time and material consumption. The lecture concluded with a look at the use of 3D printed tooling as a viable option for post processing and machining workflows and the advantages they have over conventional tools.
