Personal Profile
Faizan Munawar is a staff researcher at the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre (PMTC) at ATU Sligo. He worked on his Ph.D. in Mechatronic Engineering at ATU in 2025, where his research focused on data-driven modelling and the analysis of glycaemic variability in individuals with type 1 diabetes.
Originally from Pakistan, Faizan began his academic journey at COMSATS University Islamabad, earning a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Electrical (Computer) Engineering. He later completed a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, where he explored machine learning tools—specifically Generative Adversarial Networks—for healthcare applications.
