I am a Lecturer in Computing and Digital Media at Atlantic Technological University (ATU), Galway City campus, where I teach a range of courses in computing, digital media, and design. My teaching covers areas such as Web Design, Digital Media Design, UI/UX Design, Interactive Design, Creative Coding, and Emerging Technologies, including AR, VR, and AI. I adopt an interdisciplinary approach, blending theory and practical experience to equip students with the skills required for today’s fast-evolving digital landscape.

Alongside my academic role, I am a professional freelance multidisciplinary designer, web developer, and photographer. My expertise spans multiple creative media disciplines, including Motion Graphics, App Design, Data Visualisation, Branding, Typography, and more. I specialise in integrating innovative design with emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Interactive Design to create immersive user experiences. My work bridges digital and physical media, focusing on pushing the boundaries of design and technology.

With several decades of experience as both a higher education lecturer and a creative professional, I am deeply committed to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. My career is driven by a passion for equipping students with practical skills while encouraging creativity and exploration.

As an educator, I am known for my imaginative teaching style, adapting to the diverse learning needs of my students. I promote creative exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration, with a clear focus on delivering practical outcomes within deadlines. I also advocate for the integration of emerging technologies in education, creating new opportunities for engagement and exploration.

I have presented and published internationally, contributing to global discussions on design, technology, and digital media. I am passionate about visual storytelling through photography and continually seek new ways to capture and interpret the world around me.
