    Jeremy Madden is a Lecturer in Furniture Design and Manufacture at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Connemara, with over 25 years of experience in higher education, design research, and professional practice. His work focuses on experiential learning, design pedagogy, sustainability, and industry-engaged education. A Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), he has led curriculum development, quality enhancement, and collaborative projects connecting students with industry, community, and environmental challenges. His teaching is informed by inclusive, student-centred approaches, including Universal Design for Learning principles. Jeremy is co-founder and editor of Iterations, a peer-reviewed journal exploring design research and practice.

    Teaching Profile

    Jeremy teaches across all years of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Furniture Design and Manufacture and the Bachelor of Science in Furniture Making and Architectural Woodworking programmes at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Connemara. Current teaching includes Design Elements, CAD 2, CAD and Manufacture, Industry Placement, Industry Placement Supervision, and Commercial Design.
