Shirley has worked in higher education for over 20 years in information management and research support roles. She has worked in a variety of librarian and project management roles and has also worked as an academic writing tutor supporting undergraduate, postgraduate and staff researchers and as a senior project manager.
Shirley has presented her work both nationally and internationally and her research has also contributed to museum exhibitions and television documentaries.
