Personal Profile

Dr Valerie Mc Taggart is a Senior  Academic Lecturer & Researcher with Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo Campus. Valerie holds a PhD from DCU and a Master's from John Moore’s University, Liverpool. She is actively involved in research in the areas of Leading Digital Transformation, AI, Digital Humanities and remote working. She has published and presented her work both nationally and internationally.

Prior to entering academia full-time in 2018, Valerie worked for over twenty years in the financial services sector in Ireland and the United Kingdom as a people and project manager 

Valerie also works with the European Commission as an evaluation expert and is a member of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) working group REAL - Regaining linkage? Digital technologies are improving civic engagement, political organisations and democracy.
