"A Walk With Allingham" was a short film created over 4 days in the summer of 2013 by a team of multidisciplinary design students & staff from #designatmagee, School Of Creative Arts & Technologies, University of Ulster, Derry. The creative team including Padraic Lynch, Mark Cullen, Laura Coyle, Debbie Lockhart, Heidi Elliott, Ciaran McLaughlin & Winnie Tang who collaborated with Irish actor Seán McGinley and Oisín McAuley from Berklee School Of Music in Boston. The piece was commissioned by The Allingham Arts Festival and was also part funded by The Abbey Centre Management Group, Garfield Weston & The Higher Education Innovation Fund. "A Walk With Allingham" is screened in a looping exhibition in the Abbey Centre in Theatre 3 during the festival and we invite you to drop in at any time for a relaxing 10 minutes which reveals William's story. This is an excellent educational film about the poet. The film was shortlisted for an IDI Award in 2013.
