Abstract

Diversity of data across different organizations makes it practical to store data in different formats depending on the systems and operating environment. Growing needs of a business mandate accessing data from diverse range of applications. This is the reason why data warehouses have been evolved. Data loaded from different sources must be homogenized. This is in turn requires process of transformation. Data Transformation is the process for transforming propagated data into a desired format. The objective of this paper is to introduce a Data Transformation Framework for XML-based Data Transformation Agent. This Data Transformation Framework describes the basic semantics of XML-based Data Transformation Agent. These semantics provide mapping between different Data sources and data of the Data warehouse.
