N2 - Strong chiral medium supports left handed circularly polarized and right handed circularly polarized waves with different wave numbers. Because of this decomposition of electromagnetic (EM) waves, novel properties and future applications have been visualized in optical, millimetre wave and microwave systems. In this treatise, three applications of strong chiral medium comprising guided wave structure, EM wave cavity and EM wave scatterer, are discussed at a wavelength much smaller than the dimensions of these structures. Hence the electromagnetic waves and fields in different structures containing strong chiral medium, discussed in this book, provide a basis for the use of strong chiral medium in electromagnetic wave propagation, radiation and scattering applications.
