Abstract
Overview:
▪ Without original product documentation the Irish-made Crannac chairs, currently being repaired by the OPW for public offices nationwide, were in danger of reaching their end of life.
▪ This pilot provided the OPW with working drawings and manufacture instructions for the remanufacture of spare components for severely damaged chairs.
▪ This pilot also provided an opportunity to examine the savings, both financial
and environmental, incurred from pursuing a circular manufacture model
over a linear one, showing very favourable results
