Abstract
IDEAS (Innovation, Digitalisation, Enterprise and Society) is a Postgraduate Research Training Programme (PRTP) funded by RISE@ATU through the ERDF Northern and Western Regional Programme 2021–27. The programme delivers enterprise-partnered PhD research in digitalisation, innovation systems and regional enterprise development to support sustainable economic growth in Ireland’s West and North-West. In the 1st episode of the RISE@ATU supported IDEAS Podcast Series, Dr Valerie McTaggart speaks with Dr Ken VanSomeren and Dr Amaya Vega about the IDEAS Programme - what it is, why it matters, and how it is connecting PhD research at ATU with the real-world challenges of today.
