Abstract
Ireland's bars have been closed for more than a year, because of restrictions to contain the spread of coronavirus, but after suffering so much lost income it is feared many may not be able to afford to reopen.
The iconic Irish pub, a familiar entertainment and leisure venue in cities around the world, is in trouble at home and many family run establishments, especially in rural areas, may be closed forever.
The BBC's Russell Padmore reports from County Donegal, in the north west of Ireland.
